Talk To The HomeHomeowners Vault

Privacy Policy

Last updated June 15, 2026

Homeowners Vault (“the Vault”), operated by Talk To The Home, helps homeowners store and organize information about their home. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We aim to follow Canada’s PIPEDA and applicable privacy law.

Information we collect

  • Account — your name, email, and (optionally) phone number.
  • Home data you add — property facts, systems, utilities, appliances, notes, reminders, and uploaded documents and photos.
  • Transferred data — if a realtor sends you a vault, the homeowner-relevant details and photos they prepared (never sale price, marketing, or buyer data).
  • Billing — handled by Stripe; we store your plan and subscription status, not your full card number.
  • Usage — basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

  • To provide the vault, reminders, search, and (on the Assistant plan) the AI assistant.
  • To send service email — sign-in links, reminders, and billing notices (you can adjust reminder/billing emails in Settings → Notifications).
  • To process payments and prevent abuse.

Service providers

We share data only with processors that run the service: Supabase (database/auth), Cloudflare R2 (document/photo storage), Stripe (payments), Brevo (transactional email), and, only if you use the AI assistant, Anthropic(the assistant sees your structured vault data and document titles, not document contents). We do not sell your data.

Your choices & rights

  • Export — download all your data any time from Settings.
  • Delete — delete your account from Settings; this removes your data and stored files.
  • You may request access to or correction of your information by contacting us.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. Deleted documents are recoverable for 30 days, then removed. Deleting your account removes your data and files (some records may persist briefly in backups).
